“I performed in a short film earlier this year called F**k His Dad and it was recently accepted to the New York Short Film Festival. Stay tuned for more details. The script was fantastic and the performance from my acting partner (below) was impressive. Here’s an IG post about it (click pic below for the link, as well).”

Carlos’s new EP called Ecospheres will be released on all platforms on September 30th, including digital downloads on Bandcamp and iTunes Store.

Ecospheres is a 4-track, 40-minute long series of tone poems, set in nature, each track the dramatic articulation of a primeval scene.

The EP is also bipartite, with the split it exhibits happening in two different ways.

The first split happens tonally, with tracks one and two set in major keys and tracks three and four in minor ones.

The second split happens programmatically, with tracks one and four dedicated to telling the story of microspheres of natural process and tracks two and three dramatizing the macrospheres of extended landscapes.

“Spring Variation” is dedicated to the commotions of springtime and rejuvenation.

“Eos Rising” dramatizes the radiance of encroaching dawn.

“Summit Bid” tells the story of a traveler’s early morning ascent to a mountain aerie.

And “Chaotic Soils” describes the vermicular underworld lurking in the earth.

Ecospheres tells a much more contiguous story than Aqueduct’s more disparate eleven-track configuration. More so than that latter album, it will reward an uninterrupted listen on headphones, while also serving a more than adequate function as an aural backdrop for meditation or yoga.
